What we bring to you

It is now widely recognized that choosing to add professional doula support to one’s birth team can yield many positive benefits. A parent’s memories of their child’s birth and postpartum experiences can have lasting powerful effect on one’s embodied self esteem and confidence. We are committed to helping women and their families feel empowered and supported as they experience birth in all that birthing families choose for themselves during this amazing transition time. It is our goal to cheer on mothers to trust in their beautiful, strong bodies and to trust in birth and the many healing moments available to them.

A doula does not perform any medical tasks or give advice. She is there for comfort, for you to feel taken care of, and to offer gentle, practical and hands-on encouragement. She is knowledgeable in both pregnancy and childbirth and offers evidence based support so that you can make informed choices, and for you to know your options so that you get the best care in align with your needs and intuitive wisdom.

Freedom is a process of cultivating empowerment in individuals through the discovery, pursuit, and unfolding of body-centered potential, a journey that begins within. Our understanding of freedom in childbirth is that it is a sensation that comes from nurturing a trusted connection with one's sovereign, intuitive and wild nature.

Acting from a place of empowerment is the ability to make decisions that best suits your desires and needs in alignment with your goals and values. Empowerment is when you know, feel and trust your incredible potential! Our job is to support people in connecting with their whole being, and nurturing and trusting this potential.
